What You’ll Do
- Transform the Ordinary — Sand, prep, and finish wood, metal, foam, and composite surfaces until they’re show-ready.
- Paint Like a Pro — Apply paints, stains, glazes, varnishes, and specialty scenic finishes that elevate every build.
- Texture Wizardry — Create faux rust, stone, wood, leather, and other effects that wow at first sight.
- Color Perfection — Mix and match to nail exact shades and tones.
- Collaborate & Create — Work alongside carpenters, metal fabricators, and project managers to bring the vision home.
- Quality Control — Inspect every finish to ensure consistency, durability, and beauty.
- Keep It Tight — Maintain a safe, clean, and organized finishing area.
What You Bring
- Strong artistic and visual design skills.
- Experience in scenic, theatrical, or themed entertainment finishing.
- Expertise in multiple paint application methods (spray, brush, roller, sponge).
- Knowledge of surface prep for various materials.
- Keen eye for detail and color matching.
- Ability to work independently and in a team setting.
- Portfolio or samples of past scenic finish work.
